SHP Transmitters

Sonotronics Small High Power (SHP) transmitters help researchers track small animals over long distances. Available in 11 mm and 13 mm diameters, they can be used with fish weighing as little as 300 g under the 1.25% rule and produce source levels of 150 dB. Optional sensors provide additional environmental and behavioral data, including activity (accelerometry), depth (pressure), and temperature. SHP transmitters operate at frequencies from 69 kHz to 83 kHz and are compatible with many existing receiver arrays when configured with Open Protocol or R64K coding, and are available for surgically implantation (I) with a rounded shaped end for easier insertion or with endcaps with small holes for external (E) attachment.
